A hotel which contains exactly what the modern guest
needs – either for a short leisure weekend or business trip
to a city: A great location in the centre, elegant and modern interior, comfortable beds, superfast internet, good service or even more
- the possibility for the guest to check in and out on their own therefore
avoiding queues at reception. A well-thought-out solution required us to define the system of values of the brand and start from building a precise net of values. A Mood board helped us by bringing moods and situations closer to the brand. Once we defined the key values we could start working creatively.


First we started working on the logo of PURO Hotel. It was created on the basis of modification of the form given to the inscription PURO by using the timeless and elegant Futura font. The illuminating and soft disappearing edges of the inscription are perfect for the exposure on modern finishing materials – such as those used in Corian hotel – and in the multimedia interfaces of many devices present of the hotel rooms and lobby.
Creating the system of visual identification we decided to put together colours in their clear form. This choice builds a modern mark in reception, immediately signalling the brand’s philosophy: clear rules of cooperation, high quality of service and a decent amount of new technology thanks to which a fast service for guests is possible.
When starting the project we also started
a company blog. This meant it was possible
to observe the progress of work at the time
it was happening. Simultaneously then, along
with other standard PR activities and owing to our cooperation with the ConTrust agency, we made current information about the status of the project available to a wider audience.
What has distinguished PURO from the beginning was the provision
of advanced, intuitive technology at the disposal of the guests both in their hotel rooms and in the lobby. One such convenient device installed in the hotel lobby is a large touch screen for which we prepared an interactive guide of the hotel and the neighbourhood. Guest can quickly find out where is a good place for lunch or what is going on during the day and at night.
A novelty, on a European scale,
is that in PURO Hotel there is
a system for using light switches,
air conditioning, telephone, alarm
clock and other similar room
functions by the means of an
intuitive touch panel. Our role
in this project was not only to
design the graphics
and interactions but also to
test and improve the prototype
intensively. As a result, guests not only have a great gadget at their disposal but also they can simply control all the devices in the room with ease.
In June 2010, in accordance with the spirit of the brand,
we prepared a simple stand for the opening of the Regional Business
Tourism Centre in Wroclaw. Instead of the classical ties we got dressed
in black polo t-shirts with a characteristic white PURO Hotel logo
with a green contrasting accent.
Guests visiting our stand could watch the progress of work on iPads, play with a three dimensional hotel room model made with the use of Augmented Reality and also check how the touch panel and the touch free door locks work. The result? Great photos for the press releases from the trade shows picturing the PURO Hotel stand.
The concept of PURO Hotel in a natural
way favours modern forms of expression
such as animations, multimedia
presentations. No wonder that wanting
to show the advantages of staying
in PURO we decided to apply it in
animation form. Looking for a clear individual
style we reached for animations
inspired by iconography of public
spaces – graphic symbols of people
and places – created in company colours.
The crowning achievement of our work for PURO Hotel was
to design (with the use of research on usefulness of competitive
services) a website www.putohotel.pl This service was started
before the official opening of the hotel and was informing
the future guests about its location, what it looks like, what
would be on offer at the first PURO hotel in Poland, how to get there,
what is so interesting about the hotel, what are the room rates
and how to get to the hotel. The site was prepared in 3 language
versions and its greatest functionality is the possibility to make
online reservation quickly.
